OLDER PEOPLE

We specialise in working with older people and undertake regular training to enable us to understand and protect the ageing body.

 

Tracing Steps hold a variety of sessions for the over 50's including separate classes for dance and drama for active over 50's and 'Use it or lose it!' dance and drama programme for people in care homes and day centres.

 

We hold open community classes as well as working in care homes across Greater Manchester and delivering regular sessions and workshops for Associations such as Alzheimer's Society and the Stroke Association.

 

USE IT OR LOSE IT CLASSES

The programme engages older people's co-ordination skills, balance, memory, mobility and laughter! The programme is aims to keep what we've got rather than acquiring new skills; however the sessions will improve people's balance and co ordination skills and fine motor skills.

During lockdown we worked in partnership with Irish Community Care and delivered several FREE online seated workshops a week.

 

MAGIC MOMENTS

Magic Moments is our reminiscence programme. We use a variety of games, props, music, movement and drama techniques to heighten self awareness, sustain memories and share life experiences and create new friendships.

 

MATURE MOVERS

Mature Movers is a active dance class for the over 50's. Variety of dance styles and music genres. Fun way of keeping fit and making new friends. Opportunity to make new friends if you wish.

DRAMA DARLING

Simple drama classes to help with speech, posture and problem solving. Our classes bestow a sense of self recognition of feeling and relationships, and positive interactions.
